ABB in San Luis Potosí is seeking a Procurement Engineer to purchase materials that meet technical specifications, price, delivery schedules, and terms. You will ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and collaborate with the category team to identify new suppliers.

The role reports to the Procurement Team Lead and involves initiating purchase orders, tracking deliveries, verifying goods receipts, and negotiating frame agreements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor´s Degree in Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in procurement or similar roles.
• Experience with electrical commodities is required.
• SAP proficiency.
• Advanced English level.
• Strong communication, cooperation, and negotiation skills.

Responsabilités

• Initiate purchase orders in the system per requisitions and SOPs, and confirm delivery with suppliers.
• Track goods received to verify delivery and process invoices.
• Align supplier orders with customer requirements in terms of content, quality, delivery, sustainability and price.
• Recommend frame agreements to management and execute upon approval.

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to purchase materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, and terms. Each day, you will ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. You will also showcase your skills by identifying new suppliers in cooperation with the relevant category team.

The work model for the role is: #LI-Onsite

This role is contributing to the Electrification Business in SLP.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Initiating Purchase Orders in the system, according to the purchase requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures, and confirming delivery with suppliers, monitoring, and tracking supplier performance to PO requirements.
• Tracks goods received to verify appropriate delivery and ensure invoice processing.
• Aligns supplier orders with customer requirements (based on ERP or Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)/project requirements) in terms of content, quality, delivery, sustainability, and price.
• Recommending frame agreements to management and executing upon approval.

Qualifications for the role:

• Bachelor´s Degree in Engineering.
• 2+ year of experience working in similar positions.
• Experience with electrical commodities is required.
• Skilled in SAP
• Advanced English level.
• Well-developed communication, cooperation, and negotiation skills, with a capacity to respond to evolving priorities in an inclusive work environment.
