Varel Energy Solutions (VES) is seeking a Buyer for our Matamoros, Tamaulipas location. The role supports the supply chain by planning and executing policies across procurement activities, including supplier coordination, purchase orders, and delivery schedules.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree, has 2+ years of experience, is fluent in Spanish and English, and has SAP proficiency. The job entails negotiating with suppliers and ensuring compliance with Health, Safety and Environment

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement.
• Fluent in Spanish and English (bilingual).
• Experience with SAP.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate supplier information about products or services, with price availability and delivery schedule.
• Evaluate according to market price knowledge.
• Prepare purchase orders or bid requests.
• Maintain records of purchases including costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories.
• Negotiate defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, sellers, and others to determine the source of problems and take corrective action.
• Speed up the delivery of goods to users.
• Purchase from suppliers on the approved list.
• Comply with Health, Safety and Environment: apply Varel International de México policy and participate in training.

Summary:

VES is looking for a Buyer to join our team in our Matamoros, Tamaulipas location. This person will work to plans and carries out policies relates to all phases of the supply Chain activity by performing the following duties personally.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

• Coordinate supplier information about products or services, with price availability and delivery schedule.
• Evaluate according to the knowledge of the market price.
• Prepare purchase orders or bid requests.
• Maintain records of purchases such as purchased items or services, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories.
• Negotiate defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, sellers, and others to determine the source of problems and take corrective action.
• Speed up the delivery of goods to users.
• Purchase critical products from suppliers listed on the approved supplier list only.
• Responsibility for Health, Safety and Environment: Comply with the requirements of the Health, Safety and Environment System, apply to its activities the Policy of Varel International de México to achieve effectiveness and continuous improvement, in addition to actively participating in training activities and applying the concepts communicated

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 2+ years of experience
• Bilingual - Spanish and English (fluent)
