Schneider Electric in Mexico City is seeking a BMS Hardware Design Engineer to develop complete hardwire design packages for building management and automation systems. The role requires strong HVAC and controls fundamentals, disciplined documentation, and cross‑functional coordination.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics (or closely related).
• At least 2 years of hands-on BMS/building automation design experience.
• Solid understanding of HVAC equipment, instrumentation, control panels, wiring, I/O types, and networks.
• Proficient with AutoCAD or Visio; ability to create clear technical drawings.
• Ability to read and reconcile multiple design information sources for decisions.
• English at B2 level with strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to collaborate across time zones and with remote/offshore teams.

Responsabilidades

• Interpret drawings, specs, standards, and customer requirements.
• Translate requirements into BMS hardware designs with minimal supervision.
• Produce and maintain schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and submittals.
• Select and size field devices based on project requirements.
• Develop control logic diagrams and relay wiring for install, commissioning, and service.
• Coordinate BMS interfaces with HVAC, metering, and third‑party systems.
• Perform self-checks and peer reviews for accuracy and constructability.
• Manage engineering deliverables against milestones and risks; communicate status.
• Collaborate with customers, project managers, and remote engineering teams.
• Contribute to standardization and reusable design libraries.
