Job summary

EPAM Systems Inc. seeks a Lead Microsoft Azure DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and secure cloud-native delivery on Azure using Kubernetes and containerization.

You will guide best practices for CI/CD, GitOps, and infrastructure automation in an Agile environment to drive reliable releases and scalable platforms. You will architect Azure components, lead AKS deployment and upgrades, and implement IaC with Terraform/ARM.

Qualifications

• Solid expertise in Microsoft Azure services across compute, storage, networking and databases.
• Hands-on leadership in CI/CD and infrastructure automation.
• Experience deploying and managing apps on Azure with Kubernetes/Docker.
• Proficiency in Terraform or ARM templates for IaC.
• Familiarity with Helm for Kubernetes deployments.
• Proven GitOps experience, especially with Argo CD.
• Scripting skills in Bash and Python for automation.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools like Grafana.
• Strong English communication and collaboration across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Architect Azure-based platform components across compute, storage, networking, and databases.
• Lead CI/CD implementation in Azure DevOps and promote reliable release practices.
• Build/operate AKS clusters with scaling and upgrades.
• Configure Kubernetes networking, security, and storage per standards.
• Develop infrastructure as code with Terraform or ARM templates.
• Implement Helm charts for Kubernetes deployments.
• Harden container builds and secure Docker images/workflows.
• Establish GitOps workflows with Argo CD for continuous deployment.
• Automate operations using Bash and Python scripts.
• Set up Grafana dashboards for metrics and alerts.
• Integrate container scanning tools (SonarQube, Mend, Snyk, Trivy) into pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and share guidance.
