Job summary

KEMET de México, part of the YAGEO Group, is seeking a Customer Quality Engineer to be the internal voice for customer quality issues on assigned product lines. This on-site role at the Guadalupe, NL plant requires leading analysis of complaints, coordinating 8D actions, and ensuring rapid, effective resolutions to protect customers and the business.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s in engineering and 3+ years in automotive quality, with advanced English and strong communication.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, chemical, industrial engineering, or related discipline.
3+ years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably in a quality function.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate the analysis of customer complaints.
Monitor and verify corrective and preventive actions.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and a zero-defect mindset.
Ensure timely completion of customer corrective actions within 10 days or less.
Prepare interim and final corrective and/or preventive action reports and customer presentations.
Gather data from Quality Assurance meetings and report KPIs.
Collaborate with management and 8D teams to ensure issues are addressed.
Communicate with customers and Sales regarding quality issues.
Participate in plant quality improvement initiatives.
Monitor corrective actions and lead Customer Protection Boards (CPBs).
