Job summary

Softeq is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to build an automation-first test system for a new customer portal. You will ensure strict data isolation across tenants and own quality evidence for each release.

The role focuses on UI and API automation using Playwright and pytest, RBAC/testing, performance, security checks, and CI/CD integration. English communication is essential for client interactions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of test automation for web apps and APIs.
• Strong Playwright experience with page objects and parallel runs.
• API testing with pytest and OpenAPI contract testing.
• Experience testing RBAC and multi-tenant isolation.
• SQL to write reconciliation queries.
• CI/CD integration of tests and quality gates.
• Clear written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Define test strategy and plan with team and client.
• Build and maintain UI end-to-end automation with Playwright; API tests with pytest.
• Write cross-tenant negative tests.
• Test role-based access and entitlements.
• Run performance and load tests.
• Run security tests in the pipeline (DAST with OWASP ZAP).
• Test data reconciliation and data quality checks.
• Help test AI features and data usage.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD and report quality gates.
• Manage defects and provide reproducible bug reports.
