Job summary

Caylent is seeking a skilled Web Automation Test Engineer to join our QA and Testing practice. The right candidate is someone who has hands‑on expertise building scalable test automation frameworks, with a strong emphasis on reliability, maintainability, and rapid feedback for CI/CD pipelines.

Your mission will be to design, develop, and maintain robust web automation frameworks for API and functional testing, enabling our teams to deliver high-quality cloud‑native solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on web automation testing.
• Proficiency with Playwright for end-to-end testing.
• Experience building automation frameworks from scratch.
• Strong Python/TypeScript skills.
• REST/GraphQL API testing experience with UI test integration.
• Familiarity with pytest and unittest.
• CI/CD integration and test reporting experience.
• Git version control and team workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable web automation framework for API and UI testing.
• Develop Playwright test suites for web applications.
• Create reusable page objects and components for test reuse.
• Implement API testing strategies (REST/GraphQL) integrated with UI tests.
• Write clear automated tests with robust assertions and reporting.
• Integrate tests with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Configure test data management, environments, and provisioning.
• Enable parallel test execution and handle flaky tests.
• Monitor results, analyze failures, and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and product teams to meet quality goals.
• Document framework usage and onboarding guides.
• Stay current with automation tooling trends.
