EPAM Systems Inc is seeking a Senior Automation Tester in JavaScript to improve release reliability by building maintainable automation and expanding test coverage. You will deliver Playwright-driven UI automation and API checks, collaborate to hit quality objectives, and mentor peers.

This role partners with global delivery teams, expects solid JS expertise, API testing know-how, and strong framework-architecture skills to create reusable, scalable automation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in software testing or QA automation.
• Proficiency in JavaScript to develop automation scripts.
• Hands-on experience using Playwright and other JS web UI testing tools.
• API/web service test automation knowledge.
• Familiarity with version control practices to maintain auditable test code history.
• Solid framework-architecture knowledge for reusable, scalable automation solutions.
• Experience with JS-based BDD frameworks for behavior-driven validation.
• Understanding of AI-driven tools to enhance testing effectiveness.
• Fluent written and spoken English (B2+).

Responsibilities

• Build and support adaptable automated testing systems aligned with technical requirements and priorities.
• Partner with delivery teams to meet timelines and quality objectives.
• Influence architecture discussions by recommending automation strategy and test coverage direction.
• Provide peer reviews to improve test scripts and coding quality.
• Investigate and resolve complex problems that disrupt automated testing end-to-end.
• Mentor junior colleagues with daily technical guidance.
• Assist with project planning by outlining tasks and estimating effort.
• Assess new technologies and integrate appropriate approaches into automation practices.
• Maintain clear documentation for test workflows and technical decisions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to agree on success metrics and deliverables.
