Job summary
Flex is seeking an Automation Process Engineer in Reynosa, Tamaulipas to support production lines. You will troubleshoot equipment, lead continuous-improvement projects, and ensure integration of PLC, vision, robotics, and motion control systems.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, strong English, and hands-on experience with Beckhoff TwinCAT, SAIA PLC, and LabVIEW. You’ll work with cross-functional teams and help keep production running at high OEE.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
- Advanced English; strong communication in English and Spanish.
- Experience diagnosing complex systems (PLC, vision, robotics, motion control).
- Working knowledge of Beckhoff TwinCAT, SAIA, LabVIEW for diagnosis and tuning.
Responsibilities
- Respond quickly to equipment failures and restore production.
- Lead continuous-improvement projects to boost OEE and reduce downtime.
- Troubleshoot PLC, vision, robotics and motion-control issues.
- Make minor tuning changes and sensor replacements on validated lines.
- Support integration changes due to new smart equipment or obsolescence.
- Maintain production automation software in SVN and document changes.
- Provide on-site technical guidance and training to staff.
- Strengthen feedback loops between plants to share learnings.
