Job summary

Flex seeks a Manufacturing Engineer in Reynosa to support production lines and drive improvements. You will report to the Process Engineering Manager and troubleshoot automation equipment to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities include leading continuous-improvement projects, diagnosing PLC/vision/robotics issues, and maintaining LabVIEW, TwinCAT and SAIA software on site. Strong English/Spanish communication is required with on-site training for staff.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation or related).
Strong English communication and ability to provide structured feedback in English and Spanish.
System-level troubleshooting across PLC, vision, robotics, motion control and smart devices.
Experience with Beckhoff TwinCAT, SAIA and LabVIEW for diagnosis and tuning, not development.

Responsibilities

Respond quickly to equipment failures and restore production with minimum downtime.
Lead and support continuous-improvement projects that increase OEE and reduce downtime.
Diagnose and resolve abnormal issues across PLC, vision, robotics, motion control and smart devices.
Carry out minor adjustments and tuning within validated lines (sensor replacement, control-logic tuning).
Support integration changes driven by equipment obsolescence and new smart equipment.
Maintain and manage production automation software in SVN (LabVIEW, Beckhoff TwinCAT, SAIA PLC).
Apply a structured root-cause approach to issues and provide feedback to HQ teams.
Troubleshoot and analyze problems to improve product quality and meet customer requirements.
Provide on-site production technical guidance and on-the-job training for staff.
