GEA Group is seeking a skilled Automation Service Engineer – Automation for on-site and remote support across filling and packaging lines. You will work with PLC, HMI, and drive systems to ensure reliable machine performance, diagnose issues, and support commissioning after upgrades.

You will document findings and train customer staff while upholding safety standards. The role requires hands-on problem solving, collaboration with mechanical and process teams, and a commitment to quality.

Formación

• Degree in engineering (Industrial, Electrical, Automation, Mechatronics).
• 3+ years as an automation engineer in Filling & Packaging.
• Knowledge of electricity, automation, control and pneumatics.
• Experience with PLC programming.
• Familiarity with Siemens hardware and software.
• Experience with CODESYS, Rockwell (FactoryTalk).
• SCADA programming experience.

Responsabilidades

• Automation support during preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Diagnose PLC logic, HMI, sensors, actuators, and drives issues.
• Perform software adjustments and testing of changes.
• Support commissioning after overhauls, rebuilds or upgrades.
• Validate sequences, interlocks, safety circuits, and integration.
• Provide on-site and remote troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Prepare service reports and maintain documentation.
