Job summary

Servicios Comerciales Amazon Mexico S. De R.L. De C.V. is seeking an Automation Engineer to fault find, troubleshoot and improve controls for automated material handling equipment at the Mexico site, including conveyors and sortation systems, to keep equipment available.

The role requires PLC automation experience, 2+ years in conveyors/controls, aBachelor's degree, and English communication; you may work flexible shifts including nights or weekends in a busy, safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

Experience with PLC controlled automation and issue diagnosis in a continuous process or production environment.
2+ years of automated conveyor systems and controls experience.
Bachelor's degree and strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

Be the site SME for all controls systems and sensors; monitor, fault find and repair to ensure high equipment availability.
Train technicians in basics of control systems fault finding to raise knowledge across the site.
Collaborate within Global Controls to monitor MHE metrics and provide visualization/data through troubleshooting.
Participate in or own continuous improvement projects coordinated by Global Controls network.
Ensure systems are documented and backup libraries maintained; support installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Work with global teams to support site installations and new equipment integration.
Interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and develop improvement strategies for code conformity.
