Amphenol TCS de México, S.A. de C.V. in Mexicali seeks a Manufacturing Automation Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to plan and design automation solutions for our production lines.

The role emphasizes lean principles, workflow optimization, and manufacturability improvements. You will lead tooling design, coordinate projects with vendors, and drive RTY, FPY and uptime improvements while ensuring effective team communication.

Formación

• 3–5 years of manufacturing automation experience.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge (Kanban, JIT, Value Stream Mapping).
• Experience with PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, and robotics.
• Strong troubleshooting and project management skills.
• Willingness to travel and obtain travel documentation.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement improvements to existing automation in assembly, machining and inspection processes.
• Develop and implement maintenance programs for equipment.
• Coordinate projects and lead meetings with teams and vendors.
• Provide training and guidance on new equipment operation and maintenance.
• Meet and drive equipment OEE and uptime metrics.
• Collaborate with Process Engineering on RTY and FPY improvements.

His individual will plan and design automation solutions for manufacturing processes. Requires strong experience managing and coordinating manufacturing technology transfer experience, in addition, requires experience in the Lean production principles and tools; capable of analyzing the layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods and work force to maximize efficiency; and improving production design for manufacturability.

• Develop and implement improvements to existing automation in mechanical assembly, machining and inspection processes.
• Develop and implement maintenance programs for equipment.
• Manage equipment purchase and installation.
• Prepare manufacturing documentation.
• Coordinate projects.
• Work closely with internal and external customers and vendors to resolve issues and provide technical support
• Develop systems and layouts that follow lean manufacturing philosophies of one-piece flow and kanban, with emphasis on mistake proofing.
• Lead and direct meetings with other team members and hourly associates.
• Manage tooling and gauge design and drawings.
• Provide training and guidance to all employee levels in the operation and maintenance of new equipment.
• Meet and drive equipment OEE and Uptime.
• In collaboration with Process Engineering drive RTY , FPY and Scrap metric health and improvements.
• Solid understanding of computer programming and software development.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems and perform complex system tests.

• Valid USA Visa and Mexican passport.
• Manufacturing Automation Engineer with 3-5 years' experience.
• Lean manufacturing practices (Kanban, Poke-Yoke, JIT, Value Stream Mapping).
• Tool and fixture design and GD&T.
• Strong Project Management skills.
• Understanding and functional knowledge of PLC’s, low voltage controls, three phase power distribution, vision systems. Electronic sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and robotics.
• Machine specification and purchase order writing.
