Judco Manufacturing S. de R.L. de C.V. is seeking an assistant production manager in Mexicali, Mexico, to oversee daily operations and ensure on-time delivery while promoting 5S and teamwork.

The role requires 2-3 years supervising production, bilingual Spanish-English, and knowledge of engineering drawings and IATF 16949:2016. Strong communication and collaborative skills are essential for success.

Formación

• 2-3 years practical experience in supervising production.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee an average of 40+ assembly operators.
• Participate in weekly production planning meetings.
• Schedule and prioritize work orders per plan.
• Evaluate workload and request personnel if needed.
• Manage processes and review work orders for discrepancies.
• Monitor operator performance and discuss issues with the production manager.
• Daily brief with Leads to address issues and changes.
• Notify maintenance of equipment issues to prevent downtime.
• Communicate personnel/equipment issues to the production manager.
• Inform quality issues to QC and find short/long term solutions.
• Work with HR on disciplining employees.

General Overview

The assistant production manager will be responsible for executing all the necessary functions of the dept. including on time delivery of products, maintaining 5S and promoting teamwork.

Role and Responsibilities

• Oversee an average of 40 or more assembly operators.
• Participate in production planning meeting every week.
• Schedule & prioritize work orders according to production planning schedule.
• Evaluate workload for that dept. and if required request personnel from other depts. Or suggest other alternatives such as working overtime or reschedule low priority jobs.
• Effectively manage all processes.
• Review completed work orders for material discrepancy.
• Review work order tracking record for correct entry and discrepancy.
• Review labor tickets with Leads for accuracy.
• Monitor and review operators’ performance % of standards and discuss issues with production manager.
• Daily meet with the Leads briefly to discuss daily issues & upcoming changes.
• Monitor closely equipment/fixtures used in the processes to prevent downtime. Notify maintenance immediately.
• Communicate with production manager of personnel/equipment issues as well as dept. capacity issues.
• Immediately inform quality issues to QC dept. and production manager and work out short/long term solutions.
• Work with HR in disciplining employees.
• Qualifications and Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in any related fields.
