The Standard, Mexico City seeks an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to lead daily housekeeping operations and ensure guest spaces are polished and inviting. You will collaborate with the Executive Housekeeper and hotel teams, guiding a hands-on, supportive approach to keep standards consistently high.

Ideal candidates have prior leadership in a luxury or boutique hotel, strong presentation and communication skills, and fluency in English and Spanish.

Formación

• Previous experience in an Assistant Housekeeping Manager or similar hotel leadership role.
• Experience in a luxury lifestyle hotel, boutique hotel, or high-energy hospitality environment.
• Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Support the Executive Housekeeper in overseeing the daily operation of the Housekeeping department.
• Coordinate cleaning and maintenance of guestrooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and residences.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, presentation, comfort, and brand standards.
• Assist with room assignments, daily staffing, schedules, and departmental coverage.
• Monitor room status and coordinate with Front Office for a smooth guest journey.
• Respond to guest requests and follow up on housekeeping concerns with professionalism.
• Train, coach, and motivate Housekeeping staff, encouraging pride in their work.
• Assist with inventory controls, linen, uniforms, amenities, and operating equipment.

We're looking for an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to help bring the hotel to life behind the scenes. We’re searching for someone with a sharp eye, strong leadership skills, and a genuine understanding that the spaces we create shape how guests feel, rest, and experience The Standard.

The Opportunity

As our Assistant Housekeeping Manager, you’ll support the daily operation of the Housekeeping department and help ensure every guestroom and public space feels polished, considered, and unmistakably The Standard. Working closely with the Executive Housekeeper and hotel teams, you’ll lead with care, consistency, and a hands‑on approach—making sure the details are right without ever making the experience feel predictable.

What You'll Do

• Support the Executive Housekeeper in overseeing the daily operation of the Housekeeping department.
• Help coordinate the cleaning and maintenance of guestrooms, public areas, back‑of‑house spaces, and residences.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness, presentation, comfort, and brand standards are consistently met.
• Support room assignments, daily staffing, schedules, and departmental coverage.
• Monitor room status and coordinate closely with Front Office to support a smooth guest journey.
• Respond to guest requests and follow up on housekeeping‑related concerns with professionalism and care.
• Train, coach, and motivate Housekeeping colleagues, encouraging pride and confidence in their work.
• Assist with the management of linen, uniforms, amenities, supplies, and operating equipment.
• Support inventory controls, purchasing, storage, and cost‑conscious departmental practices.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Security, Front Office, and other departments to resolve operational issues quickly.
• Help maintain health, safety, sustainability, and sanitation standards across the department.
• Support vendor relationships, laundry operations, and external service providers when required.
• Complete accurate reports, checklists, handovers, and departmental follow‑up.
• Step in for the Executive Housekeeper when needed and help keep the operation moving smoothly.

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

• Previous experience in an Assistant Housekeeping Manager, Housekeeping Supervisor, or similar hotel leadership role.
• Experience in a luxury lifestyle hotel, boutique hotel, or high‑energy hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of guestroom and public‑area cleaning standards.
• A sharp eye for presentation, cleanliness, comfort, and consistency.
• Confident leadership skills and the ability to coach, support, and inspire a diverse team.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• The ability to stay calm, flexible, and solution‑focused in a fast‑moving environment.
• Experience with room inspections, scheduling, inventory, linen, and departmental coordination.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across hotel departments.
• Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred.
• A hands‑on, curious, and personable approach that feels right at home at The Standard.
