Job summary

EDAG in Mexico is seeking an Artificial Intelligence Manufacturing Process Planner to design, optimize, and implement AI-driven manufacturing processes for automotive assembly. You will lead digital manufacturing initiatives and collaborate across teams to improve productivity, quality, and cost.

The role requires strong AI/ML experience, extensive assembly equipment planning knowledge, and fluent English. This is a 6-month contract targeting OEM environments and advanced Industry 4.0 practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in engineering or related field.
• Experience applying AI, ML and predictive analytics to improve productivity, quality, forecasting and process optimization.
• Very high knowledge of Assembly Equipment and Tools Planning in automotive industry.
• Fluent English required.

Responsibilities

• Design, optimization, and implementation of manufacturing processes using Artificial Intelligence.
• Propose Digital Manufacturing, Industry 4.0, and data-driven technologies.
• Use analytics, machine learning, simulation, and automation to boost productivity, quality, cost, and efficiency.
• Lead planning, development, and optimization of automotive assembly processes with safety, quality, and cost targets in mind.
• Coordinate industrialization activities including equipment specs, supplier management, installation, commissioning, and ramp-up.
• Analyze, conceive and implement assembly structures and processes; manage projects with timelines and documentation.

DESCRIPTION

• Design, optimization, and implementation of manufacturing processes using Artificial Intelligence.


• Proposals of Digital Manufacturing, Industry 4.0, and data -driven technologies


• Advance analytics, machine learning, simulation, and automation to improve productivity, quality, cost, an operational efficiency across automotive manufacturing operations


• Lead the planning, development, and optimization of automotive assembly processes, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, productivity, and cost targets


• Coordinate industrialization, activities, including equipment specifications, supplier management, installation, commissioning, and production ramp-up


• Analysis, conception and implementation of assembly structures and processes


• Project management (controlling, monitoring of dates, documentation of defects)

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechatronics, Systems, Automotive or related). Master's Degree in AI, Data Science or related is advantage


• At least 4 years of professional experience


• Experience at an OEM


• Experience applying AI, machine learning, and predictive analytics to improve productivity, quality, forecasting, capacity planning, process optimization, and decision-making


• Substantial experience in the specific planning fields in the automotive industry, Specifically, a very high knowledge and experience in Assembly Equipment and Tools Planning.


• Knowledge in SQL, Python, Data visualization and others


• Fluent English


• Position for 6 months
