Senior Assembly Planner

Job summary

EDAG in Puebla, Mexico, seeks a Senior Assembly Planner to lead planning and execution of complex production equipment and assembly systems.

You will analyze and design assembly structures, identify cost and time reduction potentials, develop RFQs, and manage projects with stakeholders across the automotive sector. Fluent English is required; German A2 is a plus.

This is a six-month assignment with opportunities to influence ramp-up and process optimization in an international environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial engineering or business administration.
• At least 4 years of professional experience.
• Experience at an OEM.
• Substantial experience in the specific planning fields in the automotive industry (assembly, factory planning, paint shop, body shop, conveyance).
• Very high knowledge and experience in Assembly Equipment and Tools Planning.
• Knowledge of Ergonomics Standards is an advantage
• Knowledge in Kanban Systematic is an advantage
• CATIA and Layout HLS is an advantage
• Experience of project management
• Willingness to travel
• Fluent English
• German A2 (is a plus)
• Position for 6 months

• Escorting of complete planning and implementation phases of complex production equipment as well as tools and assembly systems with focus of general process planning.
• Analysis, conception and implementation of assembly structures and processes
• Analysis and detecting of potentials for costing and F-time reduction as well as assurance of processes.
• Development of assembly and test processes and execution of FMEAs
• Developing of technical RFQ for equipment and assembly tools
• Selection, design and sourcing of equipment
• Project management (controlling, monitoring of dates, documentation of defects)
• Good knowledge by participating in workshops, 3P process and ramp-up workshops
