Job summary

Hempel is seeking a Credit Controller to manage accounts receivable for entities including Mexico and Brazil. You will analyze credit risks, support timely collections, and maintain customer setup in the ERP system.

Working with Sales, Customer Care and Legal, you will help protect cash flow through effective collection activities, accurate documentation, and strong customer relationships. This role is based in Monterrey with a hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years Accounts Receivable or Credit Control experience (Mexico entity).
• Ability to read financial statements (balance sheets, income statements).
• Experience with ERP or computerized accounting systems.
• Knowledge of Mexico billing processes and Complemento de Pago.
• Intermediate English proficiency.
• MS Excel and Outlook skills; GetPaid and D365 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make credit recommendations within the approval matrix.
• Perform credit analysis using financial statements.
• Collect past-due accounts via calls, emails, and statements.
• Research disputed invoices and coordinate corrections.
• Maintain receivable records and inform Sales on status.
• Partner with third-party collection agencies when needed.
• Process finance-specific customer setups in ERP.
• Register vendors with required documentation.
• Update bank payment information daily and assist reconciliations.
• Prepare payment complement files daily.
• Collaborate with Legal on promissory notes.
