Job summary

Joyson Safety Systems in Monterrey, MX is seeking an Accounting Specialist to manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities. You will post payments, reconcile cash, investigate discrepancies, and support month-end closes while ensuring accuracy and SOX compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration with 2–4 years of AR/AP experience in automotive or manufacturing, plus strong English and Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration is required.
• 2–4 years of experience in AR and AP in automotive or manufacturing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with SOX knowledge.
• Fluent/advanced English in oral and written communications.
• Proficient in SAP, QAD, Oracle, and AS400 with advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Post and apply customer payments accurately in ERP systems.
• Reconcile daily bank deposits with customer remittances.
• Investigate unapplied cash, short/overpayments, and discrepancies.
• Allocate remittances to appropriate invoices and coordinate with AR/Collections.
• Support month-end closing related to cash receipts and AR balances.
• Ensure SOX compliance and maintain accurate customer balances.
• Assist in improving cash application processes and automation.
