Job summary

Joyson Safety Systems in Monterrey, MX is seeking an Accounts Receivable specialist to manage payments and reconciliations in leading ERP systems. You will post remittances, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate with AR, treasury and sales teams to ensure accurate customer balances.

The role requires 2–4 years in AR/AP within automotive/manufacturing and strong English communication. Join a global team focused on accuracy, SOX compliance, and efficient cash application processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration.
• 2–4 years in AR and AP within automotive or manufacturing.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, JD Edwards, AS400, QAD, Oracle).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Advanced English communication and stakeholder collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Post and apply customer payments in ERP systems (SAP, JD Edwards, AS400, QAD).
• Reconcile daily bank deposits and cash receipts against remittances.
• Investigate unapplied cash, short/overpayments and discrepancies.
• Allocate payments to invoices; coordinate with AR, Collections, Treasury and Sales.
• Prepare daily cash posting and assist month-end closing for AR balances.
• Maintain accurate customer balances and support audit requests.

• Post and apply customer payments accurately and timely in the ERP system (SAP, JD Edwards

(AS400) & QAD).

• Reconcile daily bank deposits and cash receipts against customer remittances.
• Investigate and resolve unapplied cash, short payments, overpayments, and payment discrepancies.
• Review customer remittance advice and allocate payments to the appropriate invoices.
• Coordinate with Accounts Receivable, Collections, Treasury, and Sales teams to resolve payment issues.
• Monitor and clear outstanding cash application transactions and unidentified receipts.
• Reconcile factored invoices against customer payments and funding reports.
• Prepare daily cash posting and reconciliation reports.
• Support month-end closing activities related to cash receipts and AR balances.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and company financial policies.
• Maintain accurate customer account balances and support audit requests.
• Analyze deduction, chargeback, and offset transactions impacting customer payments.
• Assist in improving cash application processes and automation initiatives.

Functional Competencies required:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration
• Industry Experience: Automotive or manufacturing industry.
• Professional Experience: 2–4 years in AR, AP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Technical Knowledge:
• Accounting (journal entries, accounting impacts).
• Payment forecasting and factoring.
• Systems: PRMS AS400, SAP, QAD & Oracle.
• Advanced Excel proficiency (reporting, calculations, etc).
• SOX compliance.
• Languages: Advanced English (oral and written).
• Soft Skills: Effective communication and collaboration skills, proactive, motivation, leadership, ability to give feedback, Stakeholder management and customer service orientation. Ability to drive results and meet performance targets.
