Safran Electrical & Power is seeking an APQP Pilot to oversee the governance of APQP for industrialization projects from design to operation, ensuring proper inputs, outputs, and risk management. This role supports North America division and collaborates with Quality and Operations transfer leaders.

English proficiency and experience in manufacturing quality are essential, with a focus on APQP, training, and continuous improvement within a large aerospace context.

Formación

  • Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) methodologies and tools (Expert).
  • Knowledge wiring engineering data (Advanced).
  • Strong knowledge on local Business processes and organization (Advanced).
  • Lean-Sigma greenbelt preferred.

Responsabilidades

  • In charge of governance of APQP methodology for an industrialization project from design to operation in service.
  • Ensures the logical sequence and alignment of APQP strategies and activities.
  • Defines and standardizes mandatory inputs/outputs for each phase.
  • Provides APQP training and guidance to project managers and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinates the go-no go toll gates for each APQP phase.
  • Captures and uses lessons learned from one APQP implementation to the next.
  • Continuously improves existing check lists and OPS/RI processes.
  • Defines criteria for risk analysis and stakeholder involvement level.
  • Ensures risks are managed at every stage of the project.
  • Coordinates and develops Advanced Quality Team and skills.
  • Adheres to safe work practices and contributes to health, safety, and environmental program.
  • Regular attendance is required.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Job description

Safran Electrical & Power is currently developing, operating and supporting a large suite of projects and systems in order to allow ISA activities to operate efficiently and to address major business challenges, especially the Industrialization process.

As part of a plan consisting in preserving the experience and lessons learned acquired after a implementation of New Work Packages or Transfers of Work in a Business Unit, the North America division is required to appoint a APQP expert to support the local deployment teams and to develop the required knowledge.

  • Reporting line : Industrialization Manager
  • Interfaces : Quality director, Operations transfer leader

Essential Duties and Responsibilities.

  • In charge of the governance of APQP methodology for an industrialization project from design to operation in service.
  • Ensures the logical sequence and alignment of APQP strategies and activities.
  • Defines and standardizes mandatory inputs / outputs for each phase
  • Provides APQP training and guidance to project managers and other stakeholders
  • Coordinates the go-no go toll gates for each APQP phase.
  • Captures and uses lessons learned from one APQP implementation to the next.
  • Continuously improves existing check lists and OPRI's.
  • Defines criteria for risk analysis and selects stakeholders involvement level
  • Ensures that risks are managed at every stage of the project.
  • Coordinates and develops Advanced Quality Team and skills
  • Adheres to safe work practices and contributes to the evolution of the health, safety, and environmental program and culture.
  • Regular, predictable attendance is required;
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Implement and make sure your team implement measures of health, Safety and Environment necessary to keep the Physical integrity of your team.
  • Promote and Participate on Safety Management System Culture.
Candidate skills & requirements

Experiencie:

Requires 5-8 years experience in manufacturing and quality processes, or an equivalent of education and experience combined.

Specific knowledge:

  • Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) methodologies and tools - Expert
  • Knowledge wiring engineering data-Advanced
  • Strong knowledge on local Business processes and organization-Advanced

Desirable knowledge:

  • Lean-Sigma greenbelt preferred
