Safran Cabin in North America (Mexico) is seeking a VP/GM Operations to lead all site operations, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, cost, customer satisfaction and employee engagement. The role provides strategic direction across manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, finance, HR, quality and continuous improvement while aligning with Safran values.

The General Manager represents the site, drives sustainable growth, and maintains aerospace regulatory compliance and customer requirements

Formación

  • Education as listed; MBA preferred.
  • 10–15 years of leadership experience in manufacturing environments.
  • Experience in aerospace, aviation, automotive, or highly regulated industries.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead and oversee all site operations, aligned with Safran Cabin's objectives.
  • Drive Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People metrics (SQDCP).
  • Develop and execute short- and long-term business strategies for growth and profitability.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and capital investments.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace regulations and standards.
  • Lead a high-performing leadership team and champion Lean practices.
  • Build relationships with customers, suppliers, and authorities.
  • Support business growth initiatives and operational capability improvements.

Job description

The General Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of the site's operations, ensuring the achievement of business objectives related to safety, quality, delivery, cost, customer satisfaction, and employee engagement. This role provides strategic direction and operational leadership across manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, finance, human resources, quality, and continuous improvement functions while fostering a culture aligned with Safran values and industry best practices.

The General Manager serves as the primary representative of the site, driving sustainable growth, operational excellence, and organizational performance while maintaining compliance with aerospace regulations, customer requirements, and corporate standards

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee all site operations, ensuring alignment with Safran Cabin's strategic objectives and business priorities.
  • Drive performance across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People (SQDCP) metrics while fostering a culture of accountability and operational excellence.
  • Develop and execute short- and long-term business strategies to support growth, profitability, customer satisfaction, and sustainability.
  • Manage the site's financial performance, including budget planning, forecasting, cost control, productivity improvement, and capital investment decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace regulatory requirements, customer standards, company policies, and applicable labor and environmental regulations.
  • Lead and develop a high‑performing leadership team through coaching, succession planning, talent development, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Promote Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and best practices to enhance efficiency, quality, and competitiveness.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, government agencies, unions, and corporate stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for significant operational, quality, customer, or workforce issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Champion a strong safety culture, risk management practices, and business continuity plans across all functions.
  • Support business growth initiatives by identifying opportunities, improving operational capabilities.
Candidate skills & requirements
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
Experience:
  • Minimum 10-15 years of progressive leadership experience within manufacturing environments.
  • Significant experience in aerospace, aviation, automotive, or highly regulated industries preferred.
  • Proven track record managing large-scale operations and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience with P&L responsibility and strategic planning.
Knowledge & Skills:
  • Strong leadership and people management capabilities.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Advanced financial and business acumen.
  • Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Operational Excellence.
