Safran Electronics & Defense in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico seeks a production technical group leader with FAA-relevant aviation experience. You will supervise technicians, coordinate with Master Scheduler and other departments, and drive workflow improvements while ensuring safety and quality compliance as per CMM and ERP data accuracy.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, 18+ months in aviation, 2-5 years in people management, and strong Lean/Kaizen knowledge.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 18 months of aviation experience for FAA requirements.
  • 2-5 years of personal management and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean and continuous improvement (Kaizen).

Responsabilidades

  • Lead and supervise a production technical group and oversee scheduling adherence.
  • Coordinate with Master Scheduler and other areas to track job status.
  • Resolve day-to-day operations issues and propose workflow improvements.
  • Supervise repair shop technicians performing tests and repairs per FAA requirements and CMM.
  • Ensure safety, quality, and environmental compliance and maintain ERP data accuracy.

Coordinate with Master Scheduler and other areas in order to give jobstatus.Capable to solving and handle day to day operations issues proposing improvements to workflowto enhance performance and maintaining quality and safety standards in shop. Supervise assigned Repair Shop technicians performing tests and repairs on aviation unitsper FAA requirements and in accordance with component maintenance manual (CMM)requirements. Ensure that schedule set by the master scheduler is executed. Handle issues,communicate and coordinate solutions. Managing technician's time, training, attendance and labor utilization. Train and motivate employees in their work standards. Supervise everyday working of department operating process and increase efficiency ofworkers. Recommend methods to improve production efficiencies. Work to improve and developprocesses to reduce cycle time. Lead and implement approved continuous improvement ideas identified by employees. Comply with all safety, health and environmental regulations as prescribed by law,company's policies and regulations requirements. Pro-active in the Safran HSE standardsand procedures within their daily work, staying alert to potential safety hazards whenlearning or implementing something new (skills and/or equipment). Ensure that the work order information available in the ERP are correct and up to date. Ensure quality and promote efficient operations of the line. Adherence to all qualitystandards and strong focus on customer satisfaction. Ensure that all repair supplies (equipment means, benches) are on hand for what isscheduled. Ensure the materials needed for repair are within standard guidelines and procedures andensure compliance with those procedures. Conduct meetings on a regular basis with all team members under his/her supervision. Accountability for confidential and/or sensitive information that could lead to damage tothe reputation and/or competitive posture of SEDA.
