Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC is seeking a Compensation Analyst to research, evaluate, and administer employee compensation programs. You will participate in salary surveys, benchmark studies, and collaborate with HR, management, and external consultants to ensure pay practices are competitive and internally equitable.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, business, finance, economics, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of compensation analysis or HR data analytics.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Excel and HRIS/compensation systems.
  • Attention to detail and confidentiality.

Compensation Analyst
Summary of role:

The Compensation Analyst is responsible for researching, evaluating, and administering employee compensation programs. This includes conducting job evaluations, participating in salary surveys, and supporting benchmarking studies. The analyst collaborates with HR, management, and sometimes external consultants to ensure the organization’s pay practices are competitive and internally equitable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Salary Structure Design: Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of salary structures and pay grades according to corpoprate guidelines. Ensures consistency and compliance with the organization’s compensation philosophy and legal requirements.
  • Compensation Program Administration: Administers merit increases, bonuses, and incentive programs. Collaborates with HR and management to manage annual salary review processes.
  • Job Evaluation and Classification: Reviews job descriptions and conducts job evaluations to determine appropriate classification and grade level in allignment with global C&B . Recommends salary ranges based on internal equity and external market data.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilizes HRIS and compensation management systems to generate reports and analyze compensation trends. Provides actionable insights and recommendations to leadership based on data analysis.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local compensation regulations (such as FLSA, EEO, and pay equity laws). Stays updated on changes in legislation that may impact compensation practices.
  • Communication and Training: Assists in the development of communication materials to explain compensation programs to employees and managers. May conduct training sessions or workshops to educate stakeholders about compensation policies and best practices.
  • Special Projects: Supports HR and business leaders on special projects, including acquisitions, reorganizations, and compensation-related research initiatives.
  • Provides regional support for the 401(k) retirement plan and Canadian Pension Plans, assisting with plan administration tasks, employee inquiries, and coordinating with plan vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Compliance & Reporting for Retirement Plans: Supports annual and ad-hoc reporting needs, audits, and data requests to ensure accurate contributions, compliance with ERISA and IRS requirements, and timely resolution of issues.
Required Skills And Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (such as CCP – Certified Compensation Professional) are a plus.
  • Experience: Typically 2-5 years of experience in compensation analysis, data analytics, or a related human resources role.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into business recommendations.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and HRIS/compensation management systems; experience with data visualization and analytics software is advantageous.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail when working with sensitive data and creating reports.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present data and recommendations to diverse audiences.
  • Project Management: Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Confidentiality: Demonstrates discretion and maintains confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and organizational information.
  • Teamwork: Collaborative attitude with the ability to work effectively across functions and with various levels of management.
