Job summary

PALO IT is seeking a Tech Lead / Cloud Architect in CDMX or Bogota to oversee backend and cloud architecture, lead engineering teams, and ensure platform robustness. This technology consultancy with 400+ experts across 9 countries offers a dynamic AI-native environment.

You will design scalable backend systems in Ruby on Rails, manage Google Cloud infrastructure, and drive enterprise solutions with a focus on high availability, DR, and observability. Hybrid work is available.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend development experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Strong PostgreSQL, Redis, and Sidekiq experience.
• REST API design with documentation and best practices.
• Cloud architecture with Google Cloud and Kubernetes (GKE) experience.
• Familiarity with Vertex AI, Gemini API, and agentic AI frameworks (RAG, observability, logs).
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Strong understanding of enterprise solutions including high availability, disaster recovery, and observability.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead robust backend cloud solutions using Ruby & Ruby on Rails.
• Lead engineering teams, mentor members, and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Oversee API integrations (WhatsApp Cloud API and Conversions API) and ensure best practices.
• Manage cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud and Kubernetes deployments.
• Drive enterprise solutions focused on high availability, DR, and cost optimization.
