Job summary

PALO IT is hiring a Tech Lead in CDMX or Bogota to oversee backend/cloud architecture, lead engineering teams, and ensure platform robustness. The role sits in a technology consultancy of 400+ experts across 9 countries, and requires a minimum of 7 years of experience.

You will design and implement robust backend cloud solutions using Ruby on Rails, lead teams, manage API integrations, and drive high-availability architectures on Google Cloud with Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years backend development with Ruby on Rails.
• Strong PostgreSQL and Redis expertise with Sidekiq.
• Experience designing REST APIs with documentation and best practices.
• Knowledge of Google Cloud and Kubernetes (GKE) for deployment and scaling.
• Familiarity with Vertex AI, Gemini API, and agentic AI frameworks.
• Experience in CI/CD and DevOps.
• Understanding of high availability and disaster recovery.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead robust backend cloud solutions using Ruby & Rails.
• Lead engineering teams, mentoring and coordinating with stakeholders.
• Oversee API integrations, including WhatsApp Cloud API and Conversions API.
• Manage cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud, using Kubernetes.
• Drive enterprise solutions with focus on availability, DR and cost optimization.
