Bosch seeks an experienced automation software engineer to develop and validate PLC software for manufacturing projects. You will own software deliverables, coordinate with engineering teams, and ensure compliance with customer requirements and Bosch standards.

Responsibilities include software testing, commissioning, MES integration support, and documentation, with strong emphasis on cross-functional collaboration and international teamwork.

Formación

• 3+ years of experience in industrial automation and PLC programming.
• Experience in machine commissioning and manufacturing environments.
• Desirable: coordinating software activities or technical work packages.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, test, debug, and maintain PLC and automation software per project specs and Bosch standards.
• Participate in concept reviews and define automation solutions.
• Define I/O structures, interfaces, machine sequences and software architectures.
• Perform software validation, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting activities.
• Support machine acceptance and customer buy-off activities.
• Manage software version control, backups, and project documentation.
• Assist MES integrations and digital manufacturing initiatives as applicable.
• Track and resolve software-related issues through project lifecycle.

Job Description

Responsible for the development, implementation, validation, and commissioning of automation software for manufacturing and special machine projects. Acts as the technical owner of software deliverables while supporting project coordination activities, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, engineering standards, quality processes, and project milestones.

Key Responsibilities

Software Development & Programming (70%)

• Develop, test, debug, and maintain PLC and automation software according to project specifications and Bosch standards.
• Participate in concept reviews, electrical design reviews, and definition of automation solutions.
• Define I/O structures, communication interfaces, machine sequences, and software architectures.
• Perform software validation, functional testing, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting activities.
• Support machine acceptance, pre-acceptance, and customer buy-off activities.
• Manage software version control, backups, and project documentation.
• Support MES integrations, communication networks, and digital manufacturing solutions when applicable.
• Track and resolve software-related issues and open points throughout the project lifecycle.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Automation, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or related field.

Technical Skills

• PLC Programming Siemens,Allen-Bradley, Beckhoff.
• Industrial automation systems and machine control concepts.
• HMI and SCADA development.
• Electrical schematics interpretation.
• Software troubleshooting and commissioning.
• Version control and software documentation practices.
• Knowledge of MES integration and Industry 4.0 concepts is a plus.
