Tyco Electronics Tecnologías, S.de R.L. de C.V. in Tijuana, Mexico, seeks an Automation Engineer to lead and execute manufacturing automation projects, including PLC/HMI systems, robotics, and vision solutions.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in automation engineering.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Experience with PLCs: Allen-Bradley, Omron, Keyence, Siemens.
• Experience with robots, cobots, vision systems, HMIs, and VFDs.
• Knowledge of sensors, motors, and servomotors.
• Proficient in AutoCAD for electrical drawings and schematics.
• Experience managing automation projects from concept to implementation.

Responsabilidades

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and implement automation projects focused on improving manufacturing processes and productivity.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for PLCs, HMIs, and automated production equipment.
• Perform sustaining engineering activities and resolve production equipment issues.
• Support the assembly, installation, integration, and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Design and develop fixtures and automation solutions for manufacturing operations.
• Manage the selection and procurement of materials and equipment required for automation projects.
• Participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive 5S implementation and process standardization efforts.
• Ensure technical deliverables, project timelines, and performance objectives are achieved.

Key Requirements

• 5 to 7 years of experience in automation engineering or similar roles.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs (Allen Bradley, Omron, Keyence, Siemens).
• Hands-on experience with robots, cobots, vision systems, HMIs, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
• Knowledge of sensors, motors, and servomotors.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical drawings and schematics.
• Experience managing automation projects from concept through implementation.
