Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group in Puebla, Mexico is seeking experienced PLC Programmers to support a major automotive brownfield retooling project at VW facility. You will upgrade conveyor automation, retool SEW drives, and integrate drive units with production line engines under strict automotive standards.

The role requires working on-site in Puebla, 50 hours/week, with a focus on safety, PROFINET/PROFIsafe, and VASS programming standards.

Formación

• 4+ years PLC programming in high-volume automotive manufacturing.
• Experience implementing VASS Volkswagen standards; VASS certification preferred.
• Hands-on SEW Eurodrive configuration and integration.
• Proven conveyor line and retooling project experience.
• On-site Puebla, Mexico 50 hours/week.

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced PLC Programmers to support a major brownfield retooling and line modification project at the Volkswagen manufacturing facility in Puebla, Mexico. This role focuses on upgrading existing conveyor automation systems, retooling SEW drives, and integrating drive units with production line engines under strict automotive standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and commission PLC control logic for automated assembly and conveyor lines.
• Perform retooling, drive integration, and parameterization of SEW Eurodrive systems.
• Interlock and marry SEW drive controllers with main line engine systems.
• Ensure all programming, safety structures, and fieldbus communications strictly align with VASS standards.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software communication protocols (PROFINET, PROFIsafe).
• Support on-site dry runs, trial runs, and production ramp-up to ensure optimal cycle times.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• PLC Expertise: 4+ years of hands-on PLC programming experience within high-volume automotive manufacturing environments.
• Standards Knowledge: Practical experience implementing VASS programming standards (Volkswagen Group standard). Official VASS certification is strongly preferred.
• Drive Systems: Proven hands-on experience configuring, parameterizing, and integrating SEW Eurodrive systems (Movidrive, Movi-C, or equivalent).
• Conveyor Automation: Demonstrated success with industrial conveyor lines, transfer systems, or retooling projects.
• Mobility: Ability and willingness to work on-site in Puebla, Mexico for 50 hours/week.

Preferred Qualifications

• Fluency in English and Spanish (German is a plus).
• Valid passport and eligibility to work on-site in Mexico for project deployment.
