Dekko’s Advanced Manufacturing Engineer (AME) – Assembly develops, implements, validates, and optimizes manufacturing and assembly processes to support New Product Introductions and ongoing process improvements.

You will collaborate across Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Tooling, Supply Chain, and Product Engineering to drive automation, productivity, and quality, while advancing

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, or Process Engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience in manufacturing process development.
  • Experience developing and maintaining PFMEAs, Control Plans, Standard Work, and process validation documentation.
  • Experience with tooling and fixture design.
  • Experience with structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Experience supporting New Product Introductions (NPI).
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.

Responsabilidades

  • Develop, implement, validate, and optimize manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Develop manufacturing methods, tooling, fixtures, workstations, and process layouts.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and translate product requirements into effective manufacturing processes.
  • Lead manufacturing readiness activities for New Product Introductions (NPI).
  • Drive productivity, quality, safety, throughput, and manufacturing efficiency improvements.
  • Support the design and implementation of tooling and fixtures for assembly operations.
  • Evaluate opportunities for manufacturing automation and new technologies.
  • Support equipment selection, installation, commissioning, validation, and production launch activities.
  • Lead process validation activities and ensure manufacturing processes meet product and customer requirements.
  • Lead and support Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.

Job Summary

The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer (AME) – Assembly is responsible for the development, implementation, validation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing and assembly processes.

This position requires a strong hands-on manufacturing mindset and will work cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Tooling, Supply Chain, and Product Engineering to support New Product Introductions (NPI), process optimization, automation, and manufacturing excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Advanced Manufacturing Engineering
  • Develop, implement, validate, and optimize manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Develop manufacturing methods, tooling, fixtures, workstations, and process layouts.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and translate product requirements into effective manufacturing processes.
  • Lead manufacturing readiness activities for New Product Introductions (NPI).
  • Drive productivity, quality, safety, throughput, and manufacturing efficiency improvements.
Tooling, Equipment & Automation
  • Support the design and implementation of tooling and fixtures for assembly operations.
  • Evaluate opportunities for manufacturing automation and new technologies.
  • Support equipment selection, installation, commissioning, validation, and production launch activities.
Process Development & Quality
  • Develop and maintain PFMEAs, Control Plans, Standard Work, and Process Capability Studies.
  • Lead process validation activities and ensure manufacturing processes meet product and customer requirements.
  • Lead structured problem-solving using 8D, DMAIC, A3, Root Cause Analysis, and other problem-solving methodologies.
  • Lead and support Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve productivity, quality, safety, capacity, and cost.
  • Support line balancing, Standard Work, and manufacturing process optimization.
Cross-Functional Project Leadership
  • Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Tooling, Supply Chain, and Product Engineering.
  • Lead or support cross-functional projects related to NPI, manufacturing improvements, automation, and process development.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics Engineering, or related Engineering discipline.
  • Experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, or Process Engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience in manufacturing process development.
  • Experience developing and maintaining PFMEAs, Control Plans, Standard Work, and process validation documentation.
  • Experience with tooling and fixture design.
  • Experience with structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Experience supporting New Product Introductions (NPI).
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with assembly manufacturing processes.
  • Cross-functional project leadership experience.
  • Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma.
  • APQP / PPAP.
  • IATF 16949 experience.
