Dekko is seeking a Project Manager to lead cross-functional projects from quotation through PPAP, production launch, and handoff to Operations. You will ensure scope, timelines, budgets, and quality meet customer requirements and Dekko standards.

The role requires coordination with customers, internal teams, and external vendors, maintaining clear communication and accountability across all project phases.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree required in engineering, operations, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of project management experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.

Job Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for leading cross-functional projects from initial quotation and design review through PPAP, production launch, and final handoff to Operations. This position ensures that project scope, timelines, budgets, expected benefits, customer requirements, and quality expectations are consistently achieved.

The Project Manager serves as the key connection between customers, internal stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and external vendors, ensuring alignment, accountability, and transparent communication throughout every phase of the project.

Project Planning & Execution
  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans with clearly defined scope, timelines, budgets, milestones, and resource requirements.
  • Lead projects from initial concept and quotation through development, validation, launch, and production handoff.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and external vendors to deliver projects on scope, on time, and within budget.
  • Monitor project performance and proactively drive the completion of key milestones and deliverables.
  • Adapt project plans in response to changing priorities, customer-driven scope changes, supply chain disruptions, or other obstacles.
  • Ensure project commitments remain aligned with Dekko's internal New Product Development roadmap and operational priorities.
Customer & Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Manage customer-facing project milestones from initial quotation and design review through PPAP, launch, and production handoff.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customers regarding project status, risks, changes, and deliverables.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Partner with Sales and Engineering during the quoting process to establish realistic scope, schedule, cost, and resource baselines.
  • Lead internal and customer-facing meetings, executive briefings, project reviews, and status updates.
  • Influence and guide cross-functional teams toward shared project objectives without direct authority.
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks while developing proactive mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Lead change management activities related to project scope, budget, schedule, resources, and customer requirements.
  • Escalate critical risks, decisions, and obstacles in a timely manner.
  • Maintain alignment and accountability across all stakeholders during project changes.
  • Ensure customer expectations and internal business requirements remain clearly documented and communicated.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, schedules, budgets, status reports, and customer deliverables.
  • Support internal audits, customer reviews, and continuous improvement tracking.
  • Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Promote standardized project management practices and disciplined execution.
  • Champion a safety-first culture throughout all project phases and hold teams accountable to Dekko's safety standards.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of project management experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Candidates with 1-2 years of project management experience may be considered with a PMP certification.
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects from concept through production implementation.
  • Strong understanding of project life cycles, resource planning, scheduling, and budget control.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project.
  • Experience communicating with customers, vendors, technical teams, and senior leadership.
  • Strong leadership, organization, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
  • Proven ability to influence without authority and lead cross-functional teams toward shared outcomes.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to changing priorities and uncertainty.
  • Advanced English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP certification or equivalent experience using formal project management frameworks.
  • Experience in wire harness, cable assembly, or interconnect manufacturing.
  • New Product Introduction (NPI) experience, including quoting, design review, PPAP, and production launch.
  • Experience in automotive, aerospace, industrial equipment, or specialty electronics manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Lean, Agile, or Six Sigma certification.
  • Engineering or manufacturing background.
