Formación

Job purpose

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for dynamic, results driven individual to join as a Accounting & Fixed Assets. The Accounting & Fixed Assets will be responsible for controlling, auditing, and recording the assets owned by BorgWarner San Luis. Additionally, they will be in charge of monitoring capital investments and ensuring their timely capitalization. They will also be responsible for gathering information and requesting payment for tooling from the customer.

Key responsibilities

  • Timely recording of additions, disposals, retirements, and depreciation of fixed assets.
  • Maintenance of the Fixed Assets module in SAP.
  • Providing depreciation amounts for P&L and balance sheet at month-end closing.
  • Fixed assets month-end closing and reporting.
  • Creation of internal orders and budget allocation in SAP.
  • Follow-up on CapEx with project owners.
  • CIP capitalization to ensure assets are capitalized in the appropriate period and start depreciating on time.
  • Monthly depreciation.
  • Preparation of fixed assets and CapEx forecast.
  • Monthly reconciliations of CapEx and fixed assets.
  • Physical identification of fixed assets.
  • Coordinate physical inventories and cycle counts, and investigate differences between located fixed assets and those recorded in the books.
  • Compliance with tax and corporate regulations.
  • Maintain control of physical documentation related to fixed assets.
  • Follow-up on reimbursable tooling billing.
  • Actively and enthusiastically participate in DE&I and plant engagement activities.

What we’re looking for

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Experience in a similar role: Over 5 years of experience in accounting and fixed assets; proven work experience as a Fixed Assets Analyst and/or Accountant.
  • Required technical knowledge: Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, capital expenditure practices, and depreciation methods; proven ability to calculate, record, and manage financial records in SAP or fixed asset systems; data entry proficiency.
  • Other requirements: Microsoft Office, SAP.
