Qualifications

• 3+ years of proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar transactional accounting role for US-based companies.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO) or Xero; QBO certification is a plus.
• Practical experience implementing AI-driven receipt scanners, OCR software, and automated A/P & A/R workflows.
• High accuracy and attention to detail with a mindset for process improvement.
• Advanced English proficiency (B2/C1) to communicate with US vendors and clients.
• Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets for data manipulation.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R) using AI-powered OCR tools to capture and code invoices automatically.
• Perform daily and monthly bank, credit card, and payment gateway reconciliations; train ML rules for automated categorizations.
• Maintain and update the general ledger, focusing on exception-handling rather than manual data entry.
• Use automated follow-up systems and AI drafting tools to manage collections and vendor communications.
• Process expense reports and manage vendor records using Bill.com, Dext, and Hubdoc.
• Prepare basic monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet) and assist external CPAs with tax season.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly accurate and detail-oriented Full-Charge Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day financial transactions for US-based businesses. In this role, you will not just be doing manual data entry; you will leverage modern cloud accounting software and AI-assisted automation tools to process transactions faster and with zero errors. The ideal candidate is a proactive professional who loves numbers, values data integrity, and knows how to use technology to eliminate repetitive administrative work.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R), using AI-powered OCR (Optical Character Recognition) tools to capture and code invoices automatically.
• Perform daily and monthly bank, credit card, and payment gateway reconciliations, setting up and training intelligent machine-learning rules within the accounting software to automate categorizations.
• Maintain and update the general ledger, focusing on exception-handling rather than manual data entry.
• Utilize automated follow-up systems and AI drafting tools to manage collections and vendor communications professionally and efficiently.
• Process expense reports and manage vendor records using integrated tech-stack solutions (e.g., Bill.com, Dext, Hubdoc).
• Prepare basic monthly financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet) and assist external CPAs with tax season preparation.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar transactional accounting role for US-based companies.
• Strong hands-on expertise with industry-standard accounting software, specifically QuickBooks Online (QBO certification is a major plus) or Xero.
• Practical experience implementing and managing AI-driven receipt scanners, OCR software, and automated A/P & A/R workflows.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and a mindset geared towards continuous process improvement.
