Job summary

Burgan Financial Services Limited is seeking a Supervisor- Loan Operations to support the Manager in the day‑to‑day activities of the loan operations unit in Kuwait City. The role covers processing, closing and servicing across business units, with emphasis on adherence to SLAs and policy guidelines.

Key duties include supervising processing, payments, payoffs, rate quotes, data input, and reconciliations, while ensuring accurate and timely reporting and strong stakeholder cooperation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 5 years of supervisor experience in loan operations.
• IBS certification.
• English and Arabic proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily activities of loan operations such as processing, payments, payoffs and rate quotes.
• Manage the loan pipeline to ensure SLA compliance and proper processing per policy.
• Verify loan applications, closing readiness and account reconciliations.
• Input underwriting and credit data and handle non‑performing debt as defined by policy.
• Support in reviewing and resolving customer and internal inquiries.

Primary Job Purpose

The Jobholder is responsible to support the Manager with the overall day to day activities of the loan operations area. This includes planning, organizing and directing the department’s activities, i.e., processing, closing and servicing.

Planning and Management

• Lay down effective plan(s) to achieve the strategic imperatives of the unit / division

Operations, Review and Reporting

Understanding

• Maintain updated knowledge of rules, regulations and standards in the field and related matters of interest to the department

Fieldwork

• Supervise the daily activities of the Loan operations such as processing of loans for all types of Business units / processing payments, preparing payoffs, quoting rates for FC loans, verifying payments, mailing rate change notices, responding to analysis questions, etc.
• Support in managing the loan pipeline to assure that all loans are processed in accordance with established Service Level Agreements
• Ensure that all loans are processed as per the defined policies and procedures
• Ensure the closing of all loans according to established policies and guidelines:
• Review all loan applications for completeness for processing.
• Review all loans prepared for closing and verify that file is ready to close.
• Ensure the reconciliation of all accounts and to verify that accounts have been balanced and reconciled.
• Make any necessary system inputs and amendments concerning the status of loan such as legal, written-off and normal loans.
• Verify and input any necessary underwriting and / or credit data into system.
• Supervise the processing of Non-performance debt and other type of special loans as defined by the State of Kuwait.
• Review captured data and verify needed amendments as per Bank’s internal policy / procedure and regulatory requirement

Review and Monitoring

• Provide support to branch staff in handling of specific guidelines and customer queries.
• Supervise and participate in system applications enhancement and testing the new changes.
• Perform duties and tasks are those specific to a certain situation that might be assigned by the superior based on business need.

Reporting

• Generate and escal * periodic and requested reports ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

• Participate in the various cross-functional committees / teams for multiple purposes to achieve optimal cooperation and to assume seamless quality service
