Job summary

Qataryello, a leading consumer-focused organisation in the GCC food & beverage sector, seeks an executive finance leader to head Kuwait finance and supply chain operations, ensuring financial integrity and operational excellence.

You will oversee financial reporting, closing activities, statutory statements, audits, governance, and risk management, while directing budgeting, cash flow, working capital, procurement, and inventory planning to support growth and compliance in Kuwait.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required.
• Professional accounting qualifications (ACA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA/CA) preferred.
• 10+ years finance experience in FMCG/F&B.

Responsibilities

• Lead all finance and supply chain activities for Kuwait operation.
• Oversee financial records, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Manage closing activities and statutory financial statements.
• Coordinate external audits and regulatory compliance.
• Drive governance, controls, and risk management.
• Partner with senior leadership to drive performance.
• Own demand planning and supply planning processes; ensure inventory availability.

• Lead all finance and supply chain activities for the Kuwait operation, ensuring financial integrity and operational effectiveness.
• Oversee the accuracy and completeness of financial records, reconciliations, and reporting processes.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities in line with corporate reporting requirements.
• Prepare statutory financial statements and coordinate external audits to ensure compliance and timely completion.
• Act as the key contact for external auditors, regulatory bodies, and relevant government authorities.
• Design and implement a comprehensive internal control framework across finance and operational functions.
• Establish and maintain strong governance structures, policies, and approval processes.
• Ensure clear segregation of duties and compliance with delegated authority frameworks.
• Strengthen expenditure controls and improve accountability across all payment and procurement activities.
• Oversee payroll governance and ensure adherence to all relevant employment and payment regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement fraud prevention and detection measures.
• Develop and manage short and long-term cash flow forecasting processes.
• Drive working capital improvement initiatives across receivables, payables, and inventory.
• Manage banking relationships, treasury activities, and payment authorization controls.
• Monitor foreign exchange exposure and proactively address liquidity risks.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and business planning cycles.
• Deliver meaningful financial analysis and performance insights to support decision making.
• Evaluate profitability by product, channel, customer, and market segment.
• Support pricing strategies, portfolio decisions, investment evaluations, and commercial initiatives.
• Partner closely with senior leadership to drive business performance while maintaining strong governance standards.
• Own the demand planning and supply planning process to ensure optimal inventory availability.
• Oversee procurement activities including supplier selection, contract management, and performance monitoring.
• Manage warehousing operations, inventory accuracy, stock controls, and waste reduction initiatives.
• Oversee distribution performance, service levels, and delivery cost optimization.
• Build organizational capability and ensure critical processes are fully documented and sustainable.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification.
• 10+ years of finance experience.
• Strong background within F&B or FMCG industries.
• Experience in a senior finance leadership role with full business responsibility.
• Proven track record in financial controls, governance, and risk management.
• Experience managing cash flow, working capital, and treasury activities.
• Hands-on exposure to supply chain operations, including procurement and logistics.
• GCC experience, ideally with exposure to Kuwait.
• Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English required. Arabic is an advantage.
• Open to relocation to Kuwait.
