In this critical platform engineering role, you will be responsible for automating the provisioning and configuration of Platform as a Service (PaaS) offerings while ensuring strict adherence to enterprise architecture, security, and governance compliance. The ideal candidate will bring 7+ years of professional platform engineering experience, deep mastery in cloud PaaS services (databases, messaging, serverless, container platforms), and robust automation skills. Detailed Job Description:

As a PaaS Specialist in Kuwait via Aventus Global, you will serve as a principal technical authority responsible for managing and standardizing enterprise Platform as a Service (PaaS) environments. Your daily responsibilities will encompass automating PaaS service deployments, establishing secure baseline configurations for managed databases and middleware, ensuring CCoE governance compliance, and supporting developer self-service portals over a 12-month engagement. You will collaborate closely with DevOps engineers, security teams, and application developers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Automate the provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management of enterprise Platform as a Service (PaaS) offerings.


• Deploy and manage managed database services (RDS, Azure SQL, CosmosDB), messaging queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and serverless runtimes.


• Ensure strict adherence to enterprise architecture standards, security baselines, and CCoE governance compliance across all PaaS resources.


• Build secure, pre-approved PaaS service catalogs and self-service provisioning workflows for development teams.


• Collaborate proactively with DevOps engineers, cloud security specialists, and application developers.


• Monitor PaaS performance, resource utilization, scaling thresholds, and high-availability configurations.


• Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform incidents, connectivity bottlenecks, and middleware performance issues.


• Implement automated patching, backup routines, and disaster recovery procedures for managed platform services.


• Mentor engineering teams on optimal PaaS utilization, serverless patterns, and cloud-native architecture.


• Author comprehensive platform administration runbooks, PaaS hardening guides, and architecture specifications.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.


• Minimum of 7+ years of professional cloud platform engineering or systems administration experience.


• Deep specialized expertise in configuring, securing, and automating Cloud PaaS services (databases, messaging, application runtimes) across AWS and Azure.


• Strong practical experience with infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible) and configuration management.


• Solid working knowledge of cloud security, IAM policies, encryption-at-rest, and network segmentation.


• Outstanding analytical problem-solving, debugging, and cross-functional communication capabilities.


• Mandatory residency/work authorization: Ability to commit to a 12-month onsite engagement in Kuwait.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Professional certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate.


• Prior professional experience managing enterprise PaaS environments in highly regulated sectors (banking/government).


• Familiarity with container platforms (OpenShift, AKS, EKS) and service mesh architectures.


• Immediate availability for mobilization within 4 weeks.
