AIMS is seeking an experienced, highly technical, and accomplished Java Developer with a minimum of 3 years of professional software engineering experience to join our technology team on a temporary, 2-week engagement in Kuwait (candidates must currently be residing in Kuwait and available to join immediately). Detailed Job Description:

As a Java Developer at AIMS in Kuwait, you will take full ownership of designing, coding, testing, and debugging robust backend software modules. Your day-to-day responsibilities encompass developing scalable microservices, building secure RESTful web services, writing optimized SQL queries, and troubleshooting application bugs within an agile development cycle. You will collaborate with team members to integrate software components, execute rigorous unit testing, and ensure seamless deployment within tight 2-week project deadlines. Working in a fast-paced technology consulting environment, you will drive software reliability, efficiency, and project success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain robust, high-performance Java applications and backend microservices.
• Build secure RESTful APIs and web services for seamless integration with enterprise databases and third-party systems.
• Write clean, maintainable, efficient, and well-documented Java code conforming to enterprise software engineering standards.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application defects, performance bottlenecks, and integration errors promptly.
• Perform comprehensive unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews to ensure software reliability and security.
• Write optimized SQL queries, database procedures, and data models for relational database management systems.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 3+ years of professional software development experience specializing in Java/J2EE and backend engineering.
• Deep technical proficiency in Java programming, object-oriented design, Spring Boot, and enterprise frameworks.
• Strong practical experience building, securing, and consuming RESTful APIs and web services.
• Solid working knowledge of relational databases, SQL query optimization, and database connectivity (JDBC, JPA/Hibernate).
• Strong analytical problem-solving capabilities, adaptability, and the ability to deliver quality code under strict time constraints.
• Mandatory current residency in Kuwait with immediate availability for a temporary 2-week engagement.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Hands-on experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Prior working experience in digital agencies, software houses, or IT consulting firms across the GCC.
