Detailed Job Description:

As a Cloud Migration Engineer in Kuwait via Aventus Global, you will serve as a principal technical authority responsible for executing end-to-end workload migrations from legacy datacenters to enterprise cloud environments. Your daily responsibilities will encompass provisioning cloud landing zones, running automated migration tools, refactoring application architectures, and validating post-migration performance over a 12-month engagement. You will collaborate closely with multi-cloud architects, security engineers, and application owners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute end-to-end application and infrastructure migrations from on-premise data centers to AWS, Azure, or GCP.


• Operate, configure, and harden enterprise cloud landing zones, core networking, and security baselines.


• Utilize cloud migration tooling (AWS Migration Hub, Azure Migrate, Velero) for discovery, assessment, and wave execution.


• Refactor and modernize legacy workloads into containerized microservices and cloud-native architectures.


• Support continuous environment improvements, patch management, and infrastructure optimization post-migration.


• Collaborate proactively with multi-cloud architects, security teams, and application development squads.


• Troubleshoot and resolve complex migration bottlenecks, database replication issues, and network connectivity barriers.


• Implement automated testing, validation scripts, and rollback procedures for critical migration cutover windows.


• Participate in agile sprint planning, technical migration reviews, and operational handover ceremonies.


• Author comprehensive migration execution runbooks, architecture diagrams, and system verification checklists.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.


• Minimum of 10+ years of professional IT experience, with at least 5+ years dedicated to cloud engineering and workload migration.


• Deep technical proficiency in cloud migration methodologies (rehost, refactor, rearchitect) and enterprise migration tools.


• Extensive hands‑on expertise with AWS, Azure, or GCP infrastructure administration, IAM, and networking.


• Strong programming and scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for migration automation.


• Outstanding analytical problem‑solving, debugging, and cross‑functional communication capabilities.


• Mandatory residency/work authorization: Ability to commit to a 12-month onsite engagement in Kuwait.

Nice‑to‑Have Skills:

• Professional certifications such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.


• Prior professional experience executing large‑scale datacenter exits and cloud migrations for financial or enterprise clients.


• Familiarity with container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes) and infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform).


• Immediate availability for mobilization within 4 weeks.
