The Loyola University Chicago Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing ( MNSON ) invites applications for clinical track faculty positions focused on teaching, curricular development, and integration of foundational sciences (anatomy, physiology, chemistry, and microbiology), with expertise to teach chemistry. This is a 9-month non-tenure track open rank position for appointment at the clinical assistant professor rank or higher based on the applicant’s education, program of scholarship, and teaching experience.

Within the context of the Loyola University Chicago and MNSON missions, visions, values, and strategic initiatives, the faculty member will :

• Teach in undergraduate program as appropriate to expertise and program needs; this position will have primary responsibilities in the undergraduate nursing program foundational science courses
• Employ a variety of teaching / learning strategies in classroom, online, laboratory, and clinical settings
• Collaborate with faculty on curriculum and course planning, improvement, and evaluation.
• Develop and disseminate scholarship that advances nursing practice and education.
• Engage in service activities consistent with the mission and strategic vision of the MNSON , University, and nursing profession.
• Contribute to the MNSON and University goals for inclusive excellence and antiracism.

Qualifications See Minimum Education and / or Work Experience

• Potential to establish and maintain a program of scholarship, consistent with the expectations of rank
• Teaching experience in chemistry, both classroom and laboratories, either through prior teaching appointments or teaching experience gained during graduate study
• Doctoral degree in a field related to primary teaching responsibilities; Professional degrees are also considered acceptable preparation

Open Date 06 / 04 / 2025 Close Date Salary Range $80,000 - $124,000 Additional Salary Information This salary range is for a nine-month academic appointment. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on a range of factors including, but not limited to, the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including years since terminal degree; training; field or discipline; budget availability; internal equity; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
