Job summary

ABB is seeking a skilled Field Service professional to deliver high-quality service on UPS systems and power infrastructure across data centers and critical facilities in Italy. You will lead on-site activities, coordinate logistics, and train customers and staff, ensuring safety and adherence to EN standards.

Fluency in English and 15–20% travel are required. The role reports to the Service Sales Manager within ABB’s Critical Power division, with a competitive base salary and a productivity

Qualifications

• Experience in data center environments with power backup systems is a strong advantage.
• Ability to manage complex on-site projects with multiple stakeholders.
• 5+ years in field service, technical support, or service management involving UPS and critical power equipment.
• Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work on-site with customers to improve performance, reliability, and availability of power infrastructure.
• Perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on UPS systems and related equipment.
• Prepare material and spare parts for service activities and coordinate logistics.
• Deliver interventions with a First Time Right approach, meeting schedule and standards.
• Investigate failures and propose corrective actions to improve reliability.
• Act as technical trainer for field staff and customers when required.
