Job summary

Saipem is seeking a Training Coordinator based in Milano to design, deliver, and assure technical training programs for EPC and operations and maintenance projects. You will work under the Head of Training Department and be part of ENCAR, driving workforce competency while managing budgets and coordinating with clients and vendors.

Education requires a Master’s or Bachelor’s in Engineering (Chemical/Mechanical preferred) with minimum 5 years’ experience in oil & gas or related sectors.

Qualifications

• Master's or bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical preferred).
• At least 5 years of experience in training coordination in energy sectors.
• Experience with international standards (OPITO, STCW, API, ISO, NORSOK).
• Proficiency with LMS and digital training tools.
• Strong budgeting and planning skills.

As Training Coordinator, you will respond to the Head of Training Department and be part of the ENCAR. You will drive workforce competency and compliance by designing, delivering and assuring technical training programs for EPC and operations and maintenance projects

How can you support us? Here below your responsibilities:

During the ITB / Training Proposal Phase, the candidate shall:

• Analyse the Plant training requirements in accordance with the Plant process scheme and the proposed strategy in terms of cost, quality, and schedule;
• Prepare the training proposal;
• Estimate the man-hours and costs for training development, delivery, and coordination;
• Validate the training proposal and cost estimate with the Proposal and Estimating teams;
• Liaise with the Customer as required.

During the Engineering Phase, the candidate shall:

• Support the Training Lead in the preparation of the Training Plan, Training Schedule, Training Matrix, and Training Course Table of Contents;
• Coordinate the development, review, and approval of training deliverables;
• Coordinate training programme development by external training providers;
• Coordinate the provision of training facilities;
• Manage, monitor, and optimize the training budget.

During the Training Delivery Phase, the candidate shall:

• Coordinate the implementation of the Training Plan and Training Schedule, as well as training facilities and logistics at all training venues;
• Coordinate the recording and reporting of training activities at all venues;
• Coordinate the issuance and signature of certificates confirming training completion;
• Manage and control the training budget.

What are we looking for?

Education: Master's Degree/bachelor's degree in Engineering (Preferably Chemical or Mechanical)

Experience: Minimum 5 years

Technical/IT Skills:

• Experience in coordinating technical training, competency assurance, or operations and maintenance activities in the Oil & Gas or Maritime sector.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of direct and relevant experience, preferably in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Maritime, or Heavy Manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of international standards and industry frameworks (e.g., OPITO, STCW, API, ISO, NORSOK).
• Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital training tools.
• Ability to plan, coordinate, schedule, delegate, and monitor activities and results.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with competency management systems and training record administration.
• Ability to interface effectively with Clients, Vendors, and Operations personnel in a multicultural environment.
• Strong organizational and budget control skills.
