This role involves creating process simulation tools, mapping workflows, and collaborating on improvement projects within a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor/Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and advanced proficiency in MS Office. English proficiency is required, while Italian is a plus.

As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end‑to‑end warehousing operations for our customers. By doing so with precision, you not only contribute to the success of your team, but also to the day‑to‑day operations and success in the warehouse and distribution centres. For example, storing and delivering delicate flowers and fresh ingredients to local stores for everyday lunches and family celebrations. Your Role

The intern supports the implementation of Kuehne+Nagel's continuous improvement program (Production System) and will focus on the preparation of the process simulation tool for our brand‑new highly automated warehousing activity of an e‑commerce customer. He/She helps to build a Continuous Improvement culture that the site needs to embrace.

Main Responsibilities

• Support the creation and implementation of the process simulation tool to visualize material flow and identify opportunities for improvements.
• Map processes, identify main variables and process exceptions to represent the current functioning of the warehouse and test “what if” scenarios.
• Support the deployment of Stand Up Meetings and SQCDEP principles in collaboration with the Production System team.
• Work together with the production system team to identify potential areas of improvement and execute continuous improvement projects following DMAIC approach.

Skills And Experiences

• Educated to Bachelor/Master degree in Supply Chain / Management / Industrial Engineering.
• Proven interest in Supply Chain environment.
• Demonstrates an interest for continuous improvement, having excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Operational research interest for finding the optimal combination of variables and testing “what if” scenarios.
• Process driven with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, a self‑starter with the ability to work on own initiative and able to work well in a fast‑paced environment.
• Advanced skills in MS Office tools.
• Business level English required. Italian language is a plus.
• Job Location is Mantova (MN).
