A global logistics leader in Italy is looking for a Contract Logistics Specialist to manage end-to-end warehousing operations. The candidate will support the deployment of Operational Excellence Standards and participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing productivity. Key responsibilities include supporting sustainability initiatives and working closely with the site management team to optimize inventory management. This position is critical for ensuring that logistics operations meet high standards and contribute effectively to customer satisfaction.

Your Role

The intern supports the deployment of Production System, Kuehne+Nagel’s continuous improvement program, at our warehousing operation for an automotive customer. Focus is the preparation of operational excellence standards and participation in continuous improvement and sustainability projects with the aim to build a Continuous Improvement culture.

Main Responsibilities

• Support the deployment of Operational Excellence Standards and lean methodology on site (5S, Visual Management, Continuous Improvement Boards, Stand-up meetings following SQCDEP methodology…)
• Participate to continuous improvement projects to improve KPI / Productivity
• Support sustainability projects, i.e.: reduce plastic in operations
• Follow and validate Cycle Time measurements of key processes
• Work together with the site management team to define work in progress areas and consumables inventory management
