Siemens Energy Transformers S.r.l. in Trento, Italy, is seeking a Test Field Technician to join our Power Transformers facility.

You will perform hands-on electrical and mechanical tests on medium-power transformers, ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory standards, and documenting results to support reliable, high‑voltage equipment delivery. Join a global Grid Technologies team focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Competenze

• Technical diploma or vocational degree in Electrical Engineering or Electromechanics.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience as test technician or quality control inspector.
• Experience with high-voltage equipment, especially power transformers.
• Strong analytical skills; proficient in lab testing, calibration, and report writing.
• Willing to travel; fluent in Italian and good English.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Set up and configure test benches and measurement equipment for routine and type tests on power transformers.
• Execute electrical, mechanical, and diagnostic tests based on technical specifications, blueprints, and established procedures.
• Analyze test results in real-time to identify deviations, malfunctions, or non-conformities in product performance.
• Perform basic troubleshooting on test setups and equipment to ensure accuracy and resolve minor issues independently.
• You will accurately record all test data and inspection results in compliance with company and ISO 9001 standards.

What You Bring

• Technical diploma or vocational degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience as a test technician or quality control inspector in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment, typically requiring 2-5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience with high-voltage equipment, particularly power transformers, is highly desirable.
• You possess strong analytical skills and proficiency in laboratory testing, calibration, and report writing.
• Your commitment to safety assurance and regulatory compliance is evident in your work ethic.
• Travel may be required for this role.
• Fluency in Italian is required, a good level of English is essential for the role.

The total compensation package for this position, including both fixed and variable components, ranges between € 33.000 - € 45.000 gross per year.

Salary ranges for this role are provided in accordance with applicable local legislation. The stated range is based on the Italian labour market.
