Job summary

Yazaki North America, Inc. is seeking a Technical Sales Sr. Specialist at its plant in Italy to drive growth in Electronics & Connection Systems for automotive customers.

You will blend technical know-how with strong customer engagement, translate requirements into solutions with Engineering and Product Lines, and manage RFQs and design-in activities while traveling up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent.
• 3–5 years in automotive-related technical sales, application engineering, or product development with direct customer interaction.
• Strong knowledge of automotive electrical/electronic systems.
• Fluent in English and Italian; knowledge of French is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main technical interface between Yazaki and assigned customers.
• Build relationships with OEM and Tier supplier engineering teams.
• Identify new business opportunities and support product promotion and design-in.
• Translate customer requirements into technical solutions with Engineering and Product Lines.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Technical Sales Sr. Specialist to support the growth of our Electronics & Connection Systems (ECS) business. In this role, you will combine technical expertise and customer engagement to develop new business opportunities and deliver innovative solutions to leading automotive customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as the main technical interface between Yazaki and assigned customers.
• Build strong relationships with OEM and Tier supplier engineering teams.
• Identify new business opportunities and support product promotion and design-in activities.
• Translate customer requirements into technical solutions in collaboration with Engineering and Product Lines.
• Lead the technical scope of RFQs and support customer negotiations.
• Follow projects from opportunity identification through product launch.
• Monitor market trends, customer roadmaps, and emerging technologies to anticipate future opportunities.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent
• 3-5 years of experience in: Automotive industry (OEM, Tier 1 or Tier 2), Technical Sales, Application Engineering, or Product Development, Direct customer interaction with Engineering teams
• Strong knowledge of automotive electrical/electronic systems
• Fluent in English and Italian
• French language skills are considered a plus
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Availability to travel (20%).

Salary range: between €47K-52 K gross per year
