Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer OEM Chiller to deliver technical and commercial support through the full pre‑sales process. You will analyze requirements, craft optimized chiller/heat pump solutions, and prepare proposals while coordinating across engineering, product management, and manufacturing teams.

You will travel 20–40% of the time, presenting technical content, supporting quotations, and helping transition projects to order execution.

Competenze

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in HVAC, refrigeration, chillers, heat pumps, or OEM applications.
  • Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles, thermodynamics, compressors, heat exchangers, hydronic systems.
  • Experience in technical sales support, application engineering, or pre‑sales engineering roles.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, and customer requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical selection software.
  • Fluent English written and spoken.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

  • Participate in customer meetings, factory visits, trade shows, and technical reviews.
  • Assist in transitioning projects from sales to order execution and project management teams.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and company policies.

The Technical Sales Engineer OEM Chiller is responsible for providing technical and commercial support to OEM customers and the sales organization throughout the entire pre-sales process. The role involves analyzing customer requirements, developing optimized chiller and heat pump solutions, preparing technical proposals and quotations, and serving as the key technical interface between customers, sales, product management, engineering, and manufacturing teams. The position contributes to business growth by supporting customer acquisition, retention, and new product development initiatives.

Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles, thermodynamics, compressors, heat exchangers, and hydronic systems.
  • Experience in technical sales support, application engineering, or pre‑sales engineering roles.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, and customer requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and technical selection software.
  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Travel & Work Arrangements

  • Availability to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 20-40% of working time, depending on business needs.
