Baker Hughes Internship is designed for students pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or recent graduates to gain hands-on work experience. You will support the PME Civil & Structures team in completing, validating, and releasing an advanced structural optimization tool that blends FEM analysis with machine learning for smarter design.

You will work closely with a Principal Engineer, helping expand tool capabilities, develop use cases, and assist with cloud deployment and release activities,

Competenze

  • Master’s degree in Engineering.
  • Basic knowledge of structural mechanics, including stress/strain, structural behavior and load paths.
  • Fundamentals of Finite Element Method (FEM).
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Interest in engineering tool development and digital workflows.
  • Basic understanding or exposure to Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning concepts (preferred).
  • Familiarity with FEA tools (e.g., SAP2000, Abaqus, ANSYS, STAAD) & programming skills (preferred).
  • Fluent in English (oral and written).
  • Be able to legally work in the country in which you are applying, without company sponsorship or time restrictions.

Mansioni

  • Tool Enhancement & Integration: expand tool capabilities and interface with other engineering tools.
  • Advanced Use Cases Development: develop modules for land transport and lifting analysis.
  • Digital Deployment & Release: support cloud migration and DEV release preparation and validation.
  • Collaborate with a Principal Engineer to validate tool performance against real-world cases.
