Baker Hughes invites motivated students and graduates to join its Internship program in Italy. You will work in the PME Civil & Structures team to support an advanced structural optimization tool that combines FEM analysis with machine learning to reduce weight, cost, and lead time.

Under supervision of a Principal Engineer, you will enhance the tool, develop modules for land transport and lifting analysis, enable cloud deployment, and help with DEV release, learning through coaching and

Competenze

Master’s degree in Engineering.
Basic knowledge of structural mechanics, including stress/strain analysis and FEM fundamentals.
Fluent in English and strong analytical/problem-solving skills.
Interest in engineering tool development and digital workflows.
Familiarity with FEA tools (SAP2000, Abaqus, ANSYS, STAAD) and programming skills preferred.
Legal eligibility to work in the country of application (Italy) without sponsorship.
Experience or exposure to AI/ML concepts preferred.

Mansioni

Expand tool capabilities and performance improvements.
Develop interfaces to integrate with other engineering tools.
Ensure compatibility with platforms such as IDEA StatiCa, Tekla, Caesar Structures, and AVEVA.
Develop modules for land transport and lifting analysis.
Implement engineering constraints and real-case scenarios.
Validate tool performance against practical applications and benchmark cases.
Support migration of the tool to cloud environments.
Assist with development (DEV) release preparation, testing and validation.
Contribute to a robust, user-ready deployment.
