Job summary

Essentra’s BMP site in Milan seeks a Buyer to manage procurement of direct and indirect materials for manufacturing, collaborating with Production, Planning, Quality and Warehouse teams to ensure material availability and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities include supplier negotiations, PO creation in ERP, on-time deliveries, and supplier development at national and international levels. The role emphasizes data-driven cost control and adherence to procurement guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Buyer in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management capabilities.
• Understanding of procurement and supply chain processes.
• Analytical problem-solving and ability to plan multiple activities.

Responsibilities

• Procure assigned materials and products per procedures and supplier contracts.
• Maintain supplier relationships domestically and internationally.
• Create and update purchase orders in the ERP system.
• Monitor on-time deliveries and address delays or issues.
• Develop new suppliers at national and international levels.
• Coordinate with Planning to ensure material availability.
• Manage supplier-related non-conformities with Quality.
• Track supplier KPIs and prepare cost reports.
• Ensure adherence to Group procurement guidelines.
