Cosmic Group is seeking a hands-on Purchasing & Material Planning Manager to structure and develop the Purchasing function within a manufacturing setting in Tuscany.

The role combines procurement, supplier management, material planning (MRP) and inventory control, with leadership of the purchasing team and support to Lean initiatives, ERP/MES implementations and international supply chains.

Competenze

• 5–7 years of experience in Purchasing, Material Planning or Supply Chain within a manufacturing company.
• Direct experience with ERP/MRP systems, complex BOMs, inventory and shortage management.
• Experience leading or developing buyers, planners or supply‑chain professionals.
• Good English and ability to work with suppliers and international teams.

Mansioni

• Lead, organise and develop a team of buyers with different experience levels.
• Standardise purchasing processes, responsibilities and escalation rules.
• Coordinate with ERP, purchase orders, shortages and supplier commitments.
• Introduce operational KPIs and continuous improvement practices.
• Implement an early BOM review process to identify supply risks.
• Review MRP parameters, safety stocks, reorder points and purchasing lead times.
• Source, qualify and develop national and international suppliers.
• Negotiate prices, lead times, MOQ and payment terms.
• Coordinate purchasing activities across international subsidiaries.
• Support Lean initiatives and ERP/MES implementation.
• Progressively coordinate purchasing activities across international subsidiaries.
